Hannah Gold Blog Pic 1In October Hannah was honored to attend her first NASCAR race in Charlotte with her sister queens Faith Yeley and Megan Ebert. Hannah helped introduce the amazing NASCAR driver J.J. Yeley and was able to ride around the track before the opening race, after attending NASCAR Hannah volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House in Charlotte with her sister queen Faith Yeley. The girls and their parents made brunch for the families staying at the Ronald McDonald house. The Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte is one of the 300 Houses operating worldwide today. Since 1974, Ronald McDonald Houses have united in a common purpose – to offer hope, support and love to families struggling with children’s illness.

In November Hannah volunteered with the Raleigh Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Hannah helped set up the walk by unloading trucks with chairs, tables, food for the walk and blew up over 500 balloons. Early the next morning Hannah was very excited to volunteer for the walk. The Walk to Cure Diabetes was held on Saturday, November 10th on a beautiful fall day! The event brought people together from all walks of life for a healthy activity in support of a worthy cause, raising money to help find a cure for type 1 diabetes. The Triangle Walk remains one of the region’s largest single walk-a-thons with over 8,000 attendees.

Hannah was also very busy during the past two months cheering for her middle school football team, preparing for her middle school cheer competition and represent North Carolina at Nationals in Anaheim, California the week of Thanksgiving.
