2012 Miss South Carolina Pre-Teen Queen Felicia McGill volunteered at a race sponsored by Doctor’s Care, the race promoted overall health awareness. She helped set out safety cones along the main road which were used to assist the runners with staying on course during the race. She also got to be a “traffic guard”, she held up a stop sign to make sure oncoming traffic didn’t turn onto the road where the participants were running. When runners fell behind and got off course Felicia helped guide them back onto the race route. The best part of all was she got to cheer the runners on and help encourage the runners that had fell behind in the race. After the last participant crossed the finish line she attended the awards ceremony. Runners thanked her for encouraging them, it was a rewarding feeling because she didn’t do it to be recognized. At the conclusion of the event Felicia helped pass out bottles of water, fruit and informational goody bags.
