2016 Miss Georgia Jr. Pre-Teen Claudia Fether and Meals by Grace

National American Miss Team Georgia was busy serving their community this past weekend by preparing, packing and delivering food to children and families in need with an organization called Meals by Grace.

Spearheaded by Miss Georgia Jr. Pre-Teen, Claudia Fether, this team of queens came together with NAM All-American qualifiers, siblings and parents to feed 45 families. Service activities included unloading food from trucks, sorting cans and dry goods, selecting and packing each family’s food needs, creating personalized encouragement cards and delivering the food to each family.

Books donated by Georgia NAM contestants were carefully sorted by age and hand picked to be placed in each family’s box making sure each child was given an age-appropriate book. Delivery was the highlight of the day as children and their guardians anxiously awaited the arrival of their food which will feed their family for an entire week.

Some children even received birthday cakes to celebrate their birthdays in the upcoming week. It was a day of blessings for everyone involved and these amazing young ladies are already looking forward to the next opportunity to serve together representing National American Miss!

Christina Rubio, 2011 Miss Kentucky Pre-Teen Year in Review

Christina Rubio, 2011 National American Miss Kentucky Pre-Teen Year in Review

Christina Rubio, the 2011 Miss Kentucky Pre-Teen, has been working hard since she was crowned in July of 2011.

Christina has been busy distributing the stuffed animals and books donated by herself and other fellow 2011 NAM KY pre-teens to places such as Fire and  Police Departments, Libraries, and the Louisville, KY Ronald McDonald House.  Because of the critical conditions of a lot of the patients at the Ronald McDonalds House, they are not able to accept stuffed animals.  So, Christina invested in some new puzzles for the children and families to go along with the books donated to RMHC in Louisville.  Christina is continuing her Volunteer work, along with being the State Vice President of Star Events for Future Career and Community Leaders of American in Kentucky.

Christina has met with Congressman Brett Guthrie, Kentucky State Senate Presindent  David Williams, as well as Major General Donald Storm.  She has also visited Abraham Lincoln’s Birthplace in honor of a great President.

She is making the most of her time as the 2011 Miss Kentucky Pre-Teen and loving every minute of it!

What is the National American Miss Open Call?

What is the National American Miss Open Call?

The open call is an information session where you will  hear all about the National American Miss Pageant.  Our program is a lot different and we are proud of it, so we like to have people come meet us, see some video and hear about the pageant.

While at the open call you will watch a short presentation about the pageant, you will receive information about the pageant that you can take home, you will fill out an application, and you will sit with one of our staff people for a brief interview.  The Open Call is 100% free to attend!

The whole event will take about an hour.  You will want to bring a picture or snapshot of yourself, a school picture is fine, and a note pad if you would like to take notes.

See you there!
