Miss Kentucky Princess Isabel Young, Miss Kentucky Jr. Pre-Teen Caroline West, Miss Kentucky Pre-Teen Landry Feldmeier, Miss Kentucky Jr. Teen Emily Greenwell, and Miss Kentucky Teen Rebecca Osborne spent time at the Kentucky State Capitol in Frankfort, Kentucky. The girls got to meet with Governor Beshear. They had a wonderful time at the Capitol and seeing different ways the government works.
Miss Georgia Princess and Jr. Pre-Teen, Gracie Ondic and Hannah Daffron, volunteered for Adventure Bags, Inc. They collected donations and provide awareness of the local charitable organization, Adventure Bags, Inc., at the Buford Bazaar in Gwinnett County. Gracie and Hannah told community members about Adventure Bags, collected donations at the booth and even walked around and collected monetary donations from other vendors at the Buford Bazaar. Gracie also donated some of the book bags that were collected at the Georgia National American Miss pageant to Adventure Bags. Adventure Bags, Inc. works with organizations that work with displaced children such as DFCS, homeless shelters, domestic violence shelters and teen shelters. They provide these organizations with a book bag of important items like: a stuffed animal, toothbrush, toothpaste, under garments, hair brush or comb, socks, coloring books, crayons and a journal for children to write down their thoughts so that when they do have to go to an unfamiliar place the children have some items that are ALL their own. Adventure Bags, Inc. serves counties all over Georgia and it is their intention to help provide children in crisis security and comfort. Miss Georgia Pre-Teen, Samantha Sayer, prepared meals in Midtown Atlanta. Samantha spent her day off of school preparing and serving meals to people in need. It is part of Samantha’s mission to see to it that everyone has a healthy meal each day.
Miss Tennessee Pre-Teen Kaitlynn Stone donated school supplies to Inglewood Elementary School. Kaitlynn sorted and delivered school supplies and library books to Inglewood Elementary School, located in East Nashville. Kaitlynn and her family has decided to make a partnership with Inglewood Elementary School year round, as 99% of their students are below poverty and are in need of many necessities. Her next donation to the school will be from a coat drive she is holding during a local soccer tournament.
Miss Kentucky Pre-Teen Covergirl Amanda Isaacs spent time at Kosair Children’s Hospital. Amanda visited the hospital and gave out books. Kosair is a children’s hospital where most kids are sick and or have serious issues, like cancer. Amanda met with one of the major Doctors there and some employees who work hard to help these kids are their families. Amanda was able to visit with some patients. She really enjoyed her time visiting with some patients and families. There was one girl in particular who was older but really enjoyed having Amanda visit her. She has a rare form of cancer and is missing her senior year in high school and will spend most of the year at the hospital. It was a good visit and the kids really enjoyed their visit and the interaction with Amanda.
Miss Georgia Pre-Teen Spokesmodel Damacia Howard was a guest speaker for the middle school girls of “Destiny’s Daughters of Promise” Barber Middle School chapter. She encouraged, inspired and invited them to join her in her community project, “Books for Africa”. Damacia met with the girls from Barber Middle School, the Director of Destiny’s Daughters of Promise Lorraine Thomas and Dr. Barbara Swinney Assistant Superintendent Elementary School Leadership & Learning Cobb County Schools.
Miss Georgia Jr. Pre-Teen Hannah Daffron collected can goods for local shelter! Hannah went door to door and got over 1000 can goods for a local emergency shelter!
Samantha Sayer, Georgia Pre-Teen, met 5 Seconds of Summer! Samantha had the awesome pleasure of meeting the Australian group before their sold-out show in Atlanta. They group was very polite and Samantha was able to use her speaking skills while talking with the band and one member told her she was “incredibly well-spoken,”definitely the highlight of her meet and greet!
2014 Tennessee Jr. Pre-Teen Alajah Gilbert, met with Governor Bill Haslam.
Hannah Daffron, Miss Georgia Jr. Pre-Teen, volunteered at the TSH Shelter. Hannah collected clothing and toys which she handed out at the shelter.
