The SPCA of Wake County’s goal is to rescue 1,000 pets this summer.  As of Friday, August 31st, 997 lives have been saved since summer started! Hannah started volunteering with the SPCA of Wake County in 2007.  Hannah adopted her two cats Squishy and Isabella from the SPCA while she was volunteering.

Hannah Gold, Miss North Carolina Pre Teen, has been busy volunteering with the Triangle/Eastern North Carolina JDRF organization. Hannah is very excited and looking forward to the upcoming Triangle Walk to Cure Diabetes on November 10, 2012. Last year, the event raised over $1 million for diabetes research. This organization is very dear to Hannah’s heart because she has many friends with type one diabetes and her father was diagnosed at the age of two.

Hannah Reese continues using her title as National American Miss South Carolina Jr. Teen in a positive way.

Hannah Reese continues using her title as National American Miss South Carolina Jr. Teen in a positive way. As the South Carolina D.A.R.E. America Youth Advisory Board representative, Hannah has been traveling to different schools’ as the guest speaker at several fifth grade D.A.R.E. graduations and speaking to the students and parents about how to face peer pressure during their middle school and high school years and the benefits of saying “No” to drugs and alcohol. She hopes to continue to make a positive impact on children and teenagers through her motivational speeches and appearances.

Throughout the school year, Hannah will speak at fifth grade D.A.R.E. graduations across the state sharing her testimony with students about her committment to saying “No” to drugs and alcohol.

Hannah Reese, National American Miss South Carolina Jr. Teen, was named the South Carolina representative on the D.A.R.E. American Youth Advisory Board. This summer, she was a guest speaker at the graduation ceremony of the newly trained South Carolina D.A.R.E. Officers. Hannah will also travel to Quantico, Virginia for the annual D.A.R.E. Youth Advisory Board training at the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) facility in November. Throughout the school year, Hannah will speak at fifth grade D.A.R.E. graduations across the state sharing her testimony with students about her committment to saying “No” to drugs and alcohol.
