What an amazing year this has been. From the first moment that they said my name, Alexis Blakely Wise as your 2012 National American Miss Kentucky Princess I knew that my life would change forever. Just a few short hours after crowning, I was so lucky to be able to help crown the girls who would become my big sisters forever.
I am a believer that it is the impact that you make while wearing your crown that is most important so I got to work right away making a difference in my community. Before my school year started I collected over 800 school supplies to donate to our family resource center to hand out to students in need and in October I founded my very own nonprofit organization called Book or Treat where I collected over 2500 children’s books for my school and Kosair Children’s hospital! I also got to volunteer my time at the women’s and children’s shelter and do a runway fundraiser for the Lexington Humane Society and Thursday’s Child, a special needs adoption program here in Kentucky.
Over this year I have gotten to meet so many people, and have so many great experiences. I got to meet the governor of Kentucky, the honorable Steve Beshear and sit in his chair at his office. He even gave me an official pin to wear on my suit while I was at nationals in California! My first visiting royalty experience was in Nashville at the Tennessee state pageant, where I met and got to crown the Tennessee princess as well as meet several other visiting royalty that I stay in contact with still today. But nothing compares to going to nationals in Anaheim over Thanksgiving! I was so excited to go and represent my home state of Kentucky. On the first day at orientation I met all of the other princesses from across the country and many of us became fast friends. We found out that we had so much in common and we stayed together and supported each other all week. Now that we are home we still call each other and talk over skype! It’s so cool to be able to say that I have friends from all across the country. Some of us are even going to Gatlinburg on a weekend reunion trip soon! Oh! Did I mention that I met Mario Lopez on one of our outings? My mom was really jealous! We got to tour Hollywood, walk on the walk of fame, visit the Chinese theatre, check out Rodeo Drive and go to Disneyland! It was the trip of a lifetime! Even though I didn’t bring home the crown this year, I had a blast and I hope to go back again someday.
But none of this would be possible without my wonderful support team that I have backing me the whole way. To all of my friends at school and my cheer gym Power Cheer, thank you for the send off and for staying up late to cheer me on in California even if it was from watching on the computer and for the cards my classmates sent me at my hotel, they meant so much. To my grandparents and family- thank you for your undying support, helping to sell ads and do fundraisers and for helping mold me into the young lady I am today. To my parents, thank you for making this dream come true and supporting me in anything I want to do and helping to make it happen. To Mr. Matt and the NAM staff- You all are incredible. Thank you for everything you have done for me both here at home and in California. I could always count on Mr. Matt being somewhere at rehearsal and making me laugh and feel confident. Did you know that he has one of the best cartwheels I have ever seen! Thank you for this incredible opportunity.
To my sister queens, Brennan, Tyra, Logan, Megan and Morgan- I have had so much fun with you this year, throwing out the first pitch at the Bats baseball game, opening ceremonies of the State Fair and everything in between. You all will be my NAMily always. Before last July I didn’t have any big sisters and now I have 5. Thank you for being amazing role models and being such a blessing in my life. I truly look up to each and every one of you.
This has been the best year of my life. So thank you National American Miss for a journey that I will remember for a lifetime. Good luck to all of the young ladies competing in the 2013 Kentucky Pageant and all across the country. One of you are about to embark on an amazing journey. Make the most of every minute and remember you are a girl with dreams.
This is not goodbye, this is I’ll see you again next year. I am proud to be your 2012 National American Miss Kentucky Princess, Alexis Blakely Wise.

2013 Contestants and Families,
“2012 was THE BEST YEAR OF MY LIFE!”… and I pray 2013 will be the same for YOU! June 30, 2012 was completely life changing! My family was so proud I was afforded the privilege of serving as the 2012 Miss North Carolina Jr. Pre-Teen!
This year, I have served with my church, the Ronald McDonald House, the Get Heeled 5K, the Great Glow Run and made appearances throughout NC. At NCCU, I escorted the Chancellor onto the football field at a nationally televised football game and announced the winners at the “Eddie” awards.
In addition to serving the community, I met 45 of the nations Jr. Pre-Teen superstars at the National Pageant! I proudly represented NC and made new friends from all over the U.S. I’m not sure who had more fun at Disneyland, me or my brother, but I will always have the “bragging rights” that I was the reason our family was able to experience Disneyland!
I am so appreciative of my loving and supportive family, Mr. Matt Leverton, the NAMily and my sweet “blonde bombshell” sister queens! I have loved spending time with ALL of you this year!
The life skills I have learned through NAM are PRICELESS! I encourage you to enjoy this weekend and EVERYTHING it has to offer! There can only be one winner on Saturday, but if you listen and learn, you will leave improved in ways you never could have imagined! NAM will be one of the best experiences of your life! Enjoy EVERY moment!

As my year as the National American Miss Oregon Teen comes to an end I would like to reflect on all the amazing experiences and friendships this program has provided for me.
During my year I rode in numerous parades, volunteered for the Oregon Food Bank and had the time of my life at Nationals in California. I would like to thank Mr. Matt for this amazing experience as well as my sister queens for making it so memorable.
I would also like to extend a huge thank you to the people that supported me throughout this journey. Thank you to Shelly at Haley James for being my fashion advisor, Jamie O’Neill at Skull Sugar Cosmetics for making me look like a queen and Angie from the Bridal Gallery in Salem for finding me that perfect dress. And of course I can’t forget my ever supportive family, Greg, thank you for always reminding me to practice and always believing in me. Mom and Dad thank you for all you have done this year, from flying me back from Nevada, coming with me to appearances and cheering me on at Nationals I truly cannot thank you enough.
To the contestants, I hope that this weekend you not only grow as a young woman but also as a daughter, sister and friend. I encourage each and every one of you to step outside your comfort zone and make the most of this weekend.
Best of luck

Dear Miss Oregon PreTeen Contestants,
It’s hard to believe that just one year ago, I was crowned Oregon’s Preteen Queen. The time has gone by so fast. There have been many exciting opportunities for me because of NAM and I am so grateful for them all.
My year has been filled with parades, volunteering for community organizations and having fun with all the
Oregon Royalty. We spent hours decorating for parades, collecting donations for local charities like the Teddy Bear Parade, Toy and Joy, Oregon Food Bank, making a meal at the Ronald McDonald House and more. I could not imagine a greater group of girls to spend the day at the pumpkin patch, share a holiday sleepover, support Mr. Matt at open calls and representing the entire NAMily.
A funfilled week in California at Nationals where I got to meet some amazing girls from all across the country. The highlights of my week was winning the National Spokesmodel title, being 1st runner up in Talent and Actress and in the Top 10 overall.
Cheiska, Sydney and Alexandra are such amazing role models and I know they will be the best women of this Century. Stacey, Tia and Jeanneil, no one could have asked for more amazing Cover Girls! You are all so supportive and just fun to hang out with. Lily and Ilyarah, you are the most special little Sister Queens a girl could have. National Cover Girls Kyra and Isabella rounded out our crew and added a lot to the mix.
Mr. Leverton, Brittany Clute, Lacey Fitzgerald and the rest of the staff at NAM, I love you and thanks for putting up with me for the last year. I sure appreciate everything you have done for me.
No matter who goes home with titles and crowns this weekend, you are all smart, special and most of all, beautiful. The best advice I can give you is to just be yourself, make new friends and enjoy the every moment because the weekend goes fast, but your memories last forever.
To my successor, cherish these moments like they could disappear any second and love every person that becomes a part of your journey. You’ve got an exciting year ahead of you!
Your 2012 Oregon Preteen Queen,

National American Miss Ohio Queens got the opportunity to participate in the Red’s opening day parade in Cincinnati. It was covered on all 4 news channels in Cincinnati. The National American Miss Queens were the only queens in the parade, what an amazing opportunity! They only allow one “Queen” unit in the parade – last year it was 2 Miss Universe System Queens. The girls had such a great time!

National American Miss North Carolina Teen Queen Megan Ebert enjoyed being able to spend one beautiful October Saturday morning and afternoon with fellow community members and a good friend of hers as well as led the Legs For Life walk to help raise money for her local hospital. She got to know her sister queen Naomi Whitehead as they served at the Ronald McDonald House and got to spend time with two adorable little girls as well. Megan was also able to spend more time getting to know her sister queens Abigail Satter and Carter Brown at the State Fair and being able to enjoy a Nascar race with the Faith Anne Yeley and Hannah Gold, thanks to Mr. Yeley. She can’t express the amazement and total joy she has felt throughout the entire week at Nationals in Anaheim, CA! Being able to spend time with her Carolina sister queen Casey Johnson and many more. And a huge Thank You to her mother for being there for her and being her #1 fan. She then went on to enjoy a good ole December Christmas parade representing National American Miss. To end the year of 2012, she was blessed and honored to have spent a weekend in SC cheering at Shrine Bowl with her fellow Bulldog cheerleaders as well as being able to make an appearance as the National American Miss NC Teen. 2012 was a good year and Megan feels truly blessed! She is looking forward to the blessings God has planned for her for 2013!”
