When the holidays were approaching Jia Patel 2013 South Carolina Princess Queen took to heart the mission of the American Red Cross’ Holiday Mail for Heroes Campaign . This past holiday season Jia helped to host a holiday party to make cards to show gratitude towards our troops, veterans and military families. This was Jia’s second year helping to host this wonderful family event. During the holidays many of us make plans to spend times with our families and loved ones however many of our service members are unable to do this because they are overseas. The Holiday Mail for Heroes Party was a heart-warming event that got everyone into the holiday spirit! Jia enjoyed donating colored paper, stickers, markers and pens and had had even more fun making cards with her friends! A night of making cards of thanks and support to those who have made sacrifices and who have served our country was a great kick-off to the holiday season!

2013 Miss Florida Pre-Teen Jeanae Ganthier volunteers around town and donates school supplies. Jeanae spent one day volunteering at Dare to Care food kitchen. She also sent school supplies to Haiti. The school supplies were donated by the contestants at the National American Miss Florida pageant.

2013 South Florida Pre-Teen Queen Jeanae Ganthier donates books and school supplies to a local organization. She also helped to hand out food to families who needed some help.

National American Miss Kentucky Junior Teen Queen Savanah Stevens presenting a certificate of award to her local rivalry high school, superintendent Carmen Coleman, of Danville High School.

Miss Kentucky Junior Teen Savanah Stevens presenting a certificate of award to her local rivalry high school, superintendent Carmen Coleman, of Danville High School. She was also joined by her high school superintendent, Mike LaFavers. This certificate was given to the school that turned in the most canned goods at the cross town rival football game between Boyle County & Danville High Schools in Kentucky. All food was donated to the local Harvesting Hope Food Pantry. The food pantry is the organization that Savanah has chosen to help as her platform for community service. There was a total of 1703 items turned in the night of 9/6/13. Congratulations to the winning school.

Macy Moyer, 2013 Miss Tennessee Junior Teen, has always enjoyed her time at the Boys and Girls Club as a volunteer. She knew as soon as she won the title of your 2013 National American Miss Tennessee Junior Teen, she would be making a special trip there with all of the books and school supplies she was given. Macy instantly made an appointment to go to the Boys and Girls club, knowing the kids would love it all!
As soon as Macy walked in the door with all of the books and supplies, every child’s face completely lit up. Macy said it was the most amazing feeling. She talked with every child and helped them each pick out a few books, and four items of supplies each. Macy has always enjoyed going to the Boys and Girls club and it has always been fun, but being able to volunteer there, while representing National American Miss, made the experience absolutely perfect.

Miss North Carolina Pre-Teen Cover Girl Kaitlyn Connell visited with Anchor Blair Miller at WSOC-TV Channel 9. She donated school supplies, books, and stuffed animals that were turned in by all the National American Miss North Carolina participants. All of these items will be donated around town to children who wouldn’t be able to get them on their own.

Brandi Alden, North Carolina Pre-Teen Queen, donates books and school supplies around town. Brandi donated to the Salvation Army Center of Hope, JV Washam Elementary School and Bailey Middle School all in Cornelius, NC. All were very appreciative. Bailey Middle School is the school that Brandi attends and she is seen with her principal Mr. Chad Thomas.

Miss Tennessee Jr. Pre-Teen Taylor Parsons donates school supplies to a local school. Taylor brought home school supplies that were donated at the Tennessee state pageant. She met with the principal, Gay Triplett and some teachers who were very appreciative. They are so excited to be able use these supplies throughout the year.
