Samantha Sayer, Georgia Pre-Teen, met 5 Seconds of Summer! Samantha had the awesome pleasure of meeting the Australian group before their sold-out show in Atlanta. They group was very polite and Samantha was able to use her speaking skills while talking with the band and one member told her she was “incredibly well-spoken,”definitely the highlight of her meet and greet!
Hunter Vaughn, South Carolina Teen Queen, has been busy volunteering around town. Hunter used a portion of her winnings to purchase food to donate to the food pantry of HOPE in Lancaster. HOPE- Helping Other People Effectively, provides help to residents of Lancaster and Fort Lawn, South Carolina, who are coping with short term financial emergencies. HOPE offers assistance with rent, heating fuel, electricity, natural gas, water and food.
Hunter also donated the school supplies she received at the state pageant to Erwin Elementary School in Lancaster. The majority of Erwin’s student body are children from low socioeconomic backgrounds. The supplies donated were greatly appreciated and will be distributed to students as needed throughout the school year.
Gabrielle Buchan, Miss Georgia Jr. Teen, participated in “Stuff the Bus.” Gabrielle was able to spend some time with Dawsonville’s Family Connections at the “Stuff The Bus” event donating school supplies for local families. On this certain day, buses were parked at Walmart throughout the great state of Georgia collecting the items. Gabrielle was able to meet and connect with many people in her own county helping donate to this great cause. Glad National American Miss could be a part of it!
