SC2 Miss South Carolina Jr. Pre-Teen Tymia McCullough collects and donates books! Tymia had been collecting book and had the opportunity to give them to her local pediatric office for the kids. While she was there it was brought to her attention that her local pediatric office did not offer books for a variety of ages, so she decided to make this her mission in giving back. Tymia was able to help children pick a book that they would like. Tymia was able to inform the staff on how important it is in helping children find a book to better their education.

Leanndra Thompson 2015 Miss Kentucky attended the Lexington Heart Ball. The Lexington Heart Ball was put on by the Lexington Heart Association which is a benefit dinner to help raise money and awareness for heart disease. Today is also International Wear Red Day to show support for women’s heart health; which is why she wore a red dress! Her hair and make up were done by Jacqueline Smither who was the 2013 National American Miss Kentucky Teen and is now a hair and makeup artist for Paul Mitchell. Leanndra met her at her first NAM state pageant and they have been friends ever since. Leanndra loves how NAM has brought her life long friends like Jacqueline!

2015 Miss North Carolina Pre-Teen Jessica Johnson attended the Charleston Symphony Orchestra Gospel Choir, honoring those killed at Mother Emanuel Church.

Miss North Carolina Pre-Teen-Jessica Johnson volunteering at Emanuel AME Church Benefit Concert luncheon 2015 Miss North Carolina Pre-Teen Jessica Johnson attended the Charleston Symphony Orchestra Gospel Choir and Spiritual’s performance of the special concert honoring the nine people killed at the Mother Emanuel Church in Charleston, SC. Jessica was instrumental in helping serve lunches to the volunteer choir and musicians prior to the concert. They served about 120 people and Jessica performed duties that involved food service and clean up with her friendly, sweet smile and ease of discussing different topics with our performers. At the appointed time, Jessica stood at the front door with the head usher, welcoming attendees to this very special and somber concert. Her presence and smiles provided such special qualities to those entering the church: hope for the future, welcoming as only a child can do with innocence and love. Jessica added such a specialness to this concert. Jessica performed these tasks with ease and comfort and great poise. She took direction well, understanding immediately what was being asked of her. Choir members, musicians and those attending the concert, were so taken with her. Jessica provided some salve to the wounds of the people of Charleston, something she didn’t even realize she did. The Choir was very grateful to this beautiful young lady and wish her great success in her future endeavors.

used part of her winnings to purchase items for the Woman’s Enrichment Center of Lancaster. The Women’s Enrichment Center ministry provides a safe and caring environment for women who are facing an unplanned pregnancy. They offer practical alternatives to abortion and support the sanctity of human life. They educate clients on all options available to them. They also offer referrals for continued education and job assistance. All services are FREE and confidential. The Women’s Enrichment Center is funded by the generous contributions of churches, individuals, businesses, fundraising events and grants.

Miss Florida Jr. Pre-Teen Carla Lombardo has been busy representing National American Miss.

From her appearances at Disney World to her appearance at Miss America Outstanding Teen that concluded with many pictures with the various state queens and Miss America 2014, as well as her picture with Miss Georgia, the reigning Miss America, Carla has done her best to represent her state.

Carla has been active in activities such as Relay for Life at the local community center with senior citizens. She donates baked goods twice weekly to the center where all proceeds go to the American Cancer Society for Relay for Life. These funds were all raised by Carla and her leadership. She baked when she had time and involved sponsors such as Gordon Food Services to donate boxes of cookies to sell. We believe it was a great success!

Carla has also started her own initiative to fight illiteracy through her program that she named “readers make leaders”. Starting with her 10th birthday where she asked for gently used or new books instead of gifts, to a large book drive at her school, she raised over 1000 books. With the collaboration and effort of her brother, a boy scout, his troop, and their family and friends, she achieved her goal of building a small library for the children of an educational center, Tiny Kingdom in Homestead, Florida. This was possible through “We Care of South Dade”, a non-profit organization that presented this center to her. This center accomodates a large number of migrant farmworker’s children. They were very much in need. Carla reads to them for one hour once a week to get to know them better!

She also has participated in a Columbus day festival at a local farm where she appeared with Miss Homestead of the Miss America system and where she supported 4-H, a non profit organization for youth development.

Kentucky Royalty met with Governor Beshear.

KY Governor KY Governor.jpg2 KY Governor.jpg3 Miss Kentucky Princess Isabel Young, Miss Kentucky Jr. Pre-Teen Caroline West, Miss Kentucky Pre-Teen Landry Feldmeier, Miss Kentucky Jr. Teen Emily Greenwell, and Miss Kentucky Teen Rebecca Osborne spent time at the Kentucky State Capitol in Frankfort, Kentucky. The girls got to meet with Governor Beshear. They had a wonderful time at the Capitol and seeing different ways the government works.

National American Miss Queens get together for a good cause!

OR and WA Queens National American Miss Queens get together for a good cause! Miss Oregon Pre-Teen Shayla Montgomery, Miss Oregon Jr. Teen Isabella Ellsworth, Miss Oregon Princess Makaia Mellas, Miss Washington Pre-Teen Tiffany Abrahams, and Miss Washington Jr. Teen Hermona Girmay, came together to help with a kids scavenger hunt.

Miss Georgia Princess and Jr. Pre-Teen, Gracie Ondic and Hannah Daffron, volunteered for Adventure Bags, Inc.

Miss Georgia Princess and Jr. Pre-Teen, Gracie Ondic and Hannah Daffron, volunteered for Adventure Bags, Inc. They collected donations and provide awareness of the local charitable organization, Adventure Bags, Inc., at the Buford Bazaar in Gwinnett County. Gracie and Hannah told community members about Adventure Bags, collected donations at the booth and even walked around and collected monetary donations from other vendors at the Buford Bazaar. Gracie also donated some of the book bags that were collected at the Georgia National American Miss pageant to Adventure Bags.

Adventure Bags, Inc. works with organizations that work with displaced children such as DFCS, homeless shelters, domestic violence shelters and teen shelters. They provide these organizations with a book bag of important items like: a stuffed animal, toothbrush, toothpaste, under garments, hair brush or comb, socks, coloring books, crayons and a journal for children to write down their thoughts so that when they do have to go to an unfamiliar place the children have some items that are ALL their own. Adventure Bags, Inc. serves counties all over Georgia and it is their intention to help provide children in crisis security and comfort.
